Company - This program is for dancers who want intense dance training because they are individuals who enjoy being challenged. This is also a great fit for dancers who would like to be members of high school drill team, dance company, pursue dance in college or as a profession. Company members train 6-11 hours per week, depending on which company they are on. They perform in the Winter and Spring show. They will be required to perform in Disneyland in 2018 and attend 5 competitions in the Spring. See what we have been doing lately...
Prominence Company was invited to compete and attend the convention LA Dance Magic. This is a National Dance Convention and Competition, under the direction of Jackie Sleight. The staff was filled with some of the industries most well known, professional dancers and we had a delightful time and experienced tremendous growth.
The competition was fierce this weekend and Element Dance Center, was blessed to be competing with some of Utahs best studios and top talent. On Friday night, Charlotte Krippner competed her Jazz solo, Queen of the Night, choreographed by Amber Strong and received a Platinum ranking.
On Saturday, we competed only one routine, Sleep Walker, choreographed by Megan Adelsberger. We competed it in the teen contemporary division and they only place the top 3. This is a challenging division and we are proud to say that after 3 short years of opening our doors, we placed 3rd with a Platinum ranking, in the teen contemporary division.
3 of our dancers also made it to the final audition during convention class auditions, which is a huge honor to get noticed in such a large group of dancers. Congratulations to Kennedy Pina, Meridien Grandpre and Charlotte Krippner. We would also like to recognize Charlotte Krippner, for receiving LADM Magic Dancer, Teen Division for the weekend. This means Charlotte is now eligible to attend LADM Nationals with some perks such a scholarships and she will be given an agency audition!
Way to go Prominence! We are all so proud of you and we know you will keep it up. You have been such a great example to the entire studio.
